Figured out my pencil lines were just polite suggestions to the saw blade. My last birdhouse looked like it was built during an earthquake because every cut wandered off the mark. Switched to a knife and suddenly my joints fit. Felt pretty dumb for all those years of trusting a rounded piece of graphite.
Watch out, the pencil industry is going to crash because of you. Seriously though, that knife trick is a game changer. I made the switch last year and my projects stopped looking like a toddler cut them. Why did we ever trust a blunt pencil in the first place? What took you so long to try it?
