Used the cheaper open carrier from Ohio to Florida and my car showed up dirtier than I expected
Moved my daughter's Civic from Columbus to Tampa last week and went with the open trailer instead of enclosed to save about $400. The car ran fine, but it was covered in a film of road grime and had two small chips on the hood that weren't there when it left. Turns out open carriers kick up whatever's on the highway for 1,000 miles, which I probably should have guessed. Anyone else had luck with a good wash and wax before shipping to make the cleanup easier on the other end?
