Shipped my truck from Phoenix to Seattle, open carrier beat enclosed by $700 and zero damage
I got quotes for both and the enclosed transport was $1,850 while the open carrier came in at $1,150, so I rolled the dice on open. The driver texted me at 6am from Redding with a photo of the truck strapped down, and it showed up in Seattle two days later with nothing worse than some dust. Has anyone actually had a bad experience with open transport, or is the enclosed premium mostly just peace of mind?
