Velcro ties are cheap, but that $60 reel was the real hero

I spent $60 on a retractable cable reel for my desk setup after fighting with a tangled mess behind my TV stand for months. Worth every penny since I can pull out exactly what I need and it snaps back clean, no more crawling under the desk in the dark. The cheap Velcro strips I bought for $8 at the hardware store actually burned me because they lost their grip after a few weeks. Anyone else try one of those reels or do you just stick with zip ties and patience?
