That salvage yard blade sharpener ate my whole Saturday

Picked up a used Forrest blade off Craigslist for $40. Thought I was saving money versus new. Guy said it was sharp, turns out it was chipped and dull. Spent 6 hours trying to hand file it and set the teeth. Should have just paid $120 for a fresh one, or sent it out first thing. Anyone else get burned buying used blades online?
