Built 14 shaker doors in my garage in Boise before I figured out the hinge cup depth thing
Last month I had a run of 14 shaker doors for a kitchen in Meridian and blew through 3 practice rails before I checked my hinge cup depth against the actual overlay, not the spec sheet. Turns out my drill press depth stop had drifted about 1/16 and every cup was a hair shallow, so the doors hung crooked until I reset it against a scrap. How do you all lock in your cup depth when you're batching doors, do you check every few or just trust the stop?
