Warning: I thought those online broker review sites were all paid ads until I tested one myself
I opened a $500 account with a broker that had a 4.8 rating on one of those review sites, and the spreads on EUR/USD were way worse than the site claimed. Then I found a smaller forum where a guy in Denver posted his own screenshot showing the same thing. Has anyone else noticed the ratings on the big review sites don't match what you actually get when you trade?
I started keeping my own spreadsheet after a 4.9-rated broker stuck me with 2.3 pips on EUR/USD when the site promised 0.8. Now I only trust brokers that let me open a small live account first and show real spreads on my own screen.
