Caught a shady broker faking reviews at a trading expo in Austin last weekend

I was at the Austin Traders Expo on Saturday and saw a booth for a forex broker I'd been eyeing. The guy running it was literally writing 5 star reviews on his phone while pretending to chat with visitors. I called him out and he just laughed and said "everyone does it." Has anyone else caught brokers doing stuff like this at live events?

Caught a guy at a Denver coin show last year doing the exact same thing with a different account.

Four years ago at Long Beach Expo I saw a dealer get banned for life over a fake Morgan Dollar ring. @wood.andrew, calling it a "coin show scam" feels like a stretch when most of these are just broke dudes trying to flip beat up slabs. The serious scammers don't bother with coin shows, they're running the fake eBay listings or fishing on social media. This is more annoying than criminal, like someone selling knockoff Hot Wheels at a car meet. Unless they're passing painted fakes for certified originals, it's not worth the drama.
