My spider plant just had 42 baby plants and I had no idea it could do that
I've had this spider plant in my kitchen window for about three years now. It was just a small thing from a friend. I watered it when the soil felt dry, that's it. Last week I noticed these long stems with little white flowers. Then, over just a few days, each flower turned into a tiny plant. I counted them this morning and there are 42 of these little babies hanging off the mother plant. It looks like a green waterfall. I knew they made 'pups' but I thought maybe five or six, not a whole army. Now I have no idea what to do with all of them. Do I cut them all off and try to pot them? Will the main plant get weak if I leave them on? Has anyone else had a plant go this crazy?

That's a pretty dark joke. But honestly, is the situation with the babies even real? Sounds like one of those made up things people get mad about.
