Gave up on Infinite Jest after 3 months and only 400 pages, was it the book or me?
I started Infinite Jest back in March thinking I could knock it out by summer, but 3 months later I was only 400 pages in and still confused about what was even happening. The footnotes alone took me longer to get through than some whole books, and I kept having to flip back to remember who half the characters were. Did anyone else bail on this one, and did you feel bad about quitting or just relieved?

Heard the audiobook helps with those footnotes. Still bailed though.
