Vent: my corner clamp kept sliding till I put a scrap of shelf liner under it
I was pressing a 300 page text block in my garage in Rochester a few days ago and my cheap corner clamp kept creeping about a quarter inch with each pass of the glue brush. I cut a 2 inch square of that rubbery shelf liner from the junk drawer and stuck it under the clamp head, and it grabbed on the first squeeze. The paper got no marks and the spine stayed square for the first time in a while. I am wondering if the liner will leave a sticky residue down the road, or should I swap to something else like cork?
