Got shamed at the Ohio Valley Guild meetup for how I was casing in

Was at the guild meetup in Columbus back in March and a guy watched me glue up a spine for about 30 seconds before he said my press was set up backward, and honestly the boards have been coming out square ever since I flipped it, so has anyone else been doing this the hard way for years without knowing?
