Unpopular opinion: those $45 wooden insert organizers are a money sink, here's my $45 mistake
I bought one of those laser cut wooden inserts for my copy of Terraforming Mars back in January and it made setup slower, not faster. The trays are too tight, so half my cubes spill when I lift them out, and the lid sits about a quarter inch high now. I finally tossed it in a drawer in March and went back to a $6 set of clear plastic boxes from the hardware store, and setup dropped from maybe 10 minutes to 4. Everyone swears inserts are a must have, but I think most of them are designed for photos, not for playing. What is the insert that actually worked for you, or am I just bad at lifting trays?
