Spent $75 on a board game organizer that just made setup take longer
I bought a fancy wooden insert for my copy of Gloomhaven, thinking it would save me time (the box said 'cut setup down to 5 minutes'). It actually added 10 minutes because all the little trays have to be arranged in a specific order. Has anyone else found that some 'organizers' just create more work?

Honestly sounds like you're overthinking it. Just dump the pieces out and play the game.

Read an article once about how overthinking game rules kills the fun. The whole point is to just start playing and figure it out as you go. People get so hung up on doing everything right that they never actually play. Dumping the pieces out and just starting is the best advice. The rules will make more sense after you've messed around a bit. Staring at the instruction book for an hour just makes it feel like a chore.
