I logged my 100th play of Wingspan on New Year's Eve and did not see that number coming
So I keep a little notebook where I write down every board game I play, mostly so I stop buying stuff I never bring to the table. I started logging games back in March 2023, and at first it was just two or three plays a month with my brother and his wife in their basement in Boise. Fast forward to New Year's Eve, I pulled out Wingspan for a solo round before the ball dropped, added it to the list, and the count came out to exactly 100 plays for the year. I sat there for a second because that is roughly two games a week, which does not feel like that much until you add it all up. The weird part is my shelf only grew by 4 games all year, so most of those 100 plays were the same 6 or 7 boxes over and over. I think that is the real thing that surprised me, not the number itself but how much more fun I had replaying the same games instead of chasing new ones. Has anyone else tracked their plays for a full year and been shocked by the total, or am I just the weirdo with the notebook?
