Ever watch yourself turn into a human FAQ sheet and just die a little inside? I have been the rulebook guy at my table way too many times and every single time I can feel the energy drain out of the room while I explain some tiny edge case nobody asked about. The worst part is you think you're being helpful, like look at me, I read all 40 pages so you don't have to! Meanwhile everyone else is just sitting there wishing they could roll dice and hit something. My fix was teaching as we go, like just play the first round sloppy and correct stuff when it actually comes up. Turns out people learn faster by doing and they don't hate you for it.
