Switched from coal to propane 2 years ago and my forge welding has never been cleaner
Everyone in my local group in Akron swore coal was the only way to get a proper weld, but after 2 years on propane I'm never going back, the heat is way easier to control and I'm not coughing up black stuff for 3 days after every session, so what's the actual argument for staying on coal besides nostalgia?
