Unpopular opinion: that $12 HDMI cable from the gas station saved my whole binge setup
My old smart TV died mid rewatch of The Wire and I panicked. Wifi kept dropping on the new one so I ran a $12 cable from the gas station down the street. Three months later it still works fine at 4K. Everyone online swore I needed the $40 one with gold ends and I fell for that once before. It crapped out in a month. Now I buy the cheap one every time and put the saved cash toward snacks. What is the one cheap thing that outlasted the fancy version for you?
