Vent: neighbor said my 12 tomato plants attract rats, then ate my cherry tomatoes anyway

Caught her grabbing a handful off my railing yesterday in Chicago, and when I asked she said the rats were my problem but the tomatoes were a community resource, so has anyone else dealt with balcony veggie thieves who also complain about your setup?
