The guy at the Omaha farmers market sold me a 'cherry tomato' start that turned out to be 6 feet tall
I put it on my 4th floor balcony in April and by July it was blocking my neighbor's window so bad she knocked on my door with a tape measure, so now I'm curious if anyone else has gotten a mystery seed swap situation like this and how you handled the neighbor part.
See but that's on you for not asking what kind before you handed over cash. A cherry tomato is a type, not a size, and some of those heirloom ones climb like crazy. If you'd asked "is this a bush or a vine" the guy would've told you straight. Same thing happened to my cousin with a "small" zucchini start that took over half her yard, and she never blamed the seller. Knowing what you're planting is half the job. The tape measure neighbor part is a whole other mess though.
