Saw a rooftop garden in Portland that put my balcony to shame
Last month I was in Portland for a weekend and this apartment building had this crazy rooftop setup with tomatoes and peppers growing out of old gutters and milk crates. It got me thinking about how much vertical space I waste on my own balcony, I've got maybe 6 square feet of floor but a whole wall of dead air. Anyone here tried hanging planters or those pocket wall systems for stuff like lettuce or herbs?
