A good week on my balcony vs a bad one, what do you blame when stuff goes right?
So two weeks back, everything on my balcony just clicked. I had cherry tomatoes popping off, like 14 ripe ones in one morning, and my basil was so thick I had to cut it back with kitchen shears. I'm in Phoenix, and that week we had this weird cool spell, 78 during the day, and I swear my peppers doubled in size. But then this past week hit 104 and half my lettuce bolted overnight and the tomato leaves got this ugly curl. Nothing changed on my end, same pots, same water schedule, same cheap fish fertilizer. So here's where I go back and forth: my neighbor swears it is all about the sun angle and the season, just ride it out. But I keep thinking maybe I got lazy and missed a watering or the soil went bad. Do you chalk a great week up to luck and weather, or do you start hunting for what you did right so you can repeat it? I honestly don't know which way to lean.
