I used to skip bread making after one bad loaf, but a coworker's mess changed that.

My coworker showed me her lumpy, dense bread that she was still proud of. Her joy in trying again made me give it another shot, and now I love it. Has a friend's baking attitude ever shifted yours?

Seeing her messy loaf made me chill about perfect results.

Ever baked something so bad it's funny? My last loaf of bread had a giant crater in the middle, like a sinkhole. I just called it my "bread bowl" and ate soup out of it. Sometimes the fails are way more memorable than when it turns out textbook perfect.

Watched my neighbor toss three pie crusts before nailing the fourth, which really drove home what derekmoore said about chilling out. Her whole kitchen was a disaster zone but she was just laughing about the "franken-crusts". Now I care more about the weird stories than the perfect bake.
