Hit 500 loaves of sourdough this morning and it kinda hit me different

I was just pulling another batch out of the oven at 5am like usual and counted the score marks on my proofing basket log. 500 exactly since I started keeping track back in March of 2022. That's a lot of flour and a lot of failed starters along the way. I still remember loaf number 7 was a flat brick I could've used to patch a pothole. It's weird how a number like 500 makes you realize how far you've come even if each day feels the same. Anybody else have a random milestone that snuck up on you?

Oh man, I used to kind of shrug off those "milestone" type posts thinking it was just bragging or something. But reading this honestly made me stop and think about my own progress on things I've stuck with. It's pretty cool how looking back at a big round number can totally shift your perspective on all the small, boring days it took to get there.
