The roommate who used my cast iron as a doorstop in Detroit

Found my 12 inch skillet wedged under his bedroom door last weekend after he claimed it was 'too heavy to lift' for his broken hinge. What kind of person does that to a pan that took me 3 years to season, and how do I get the rust spots out without losing the whole coating?
