Update: My neighbor in Dayton said her hens eat better than she does, and I finally got it
She wasn't joking. I watched her scrape a $6 rotisserie chicken carcass into the run while her own dinner was a bowl of cereal. Now I keep a freezer bag of veggie scraps next to the coffee maker so the girls get first pick, mostly because it's less work than hauling the bin to the curb. Anyone else feed their flock weirder stuff than they eat themselves?
