Vent: I stopped chasing every connector pin click and my squawk list finally shrank
Last week I had a stubborn intermittent in a comm radio on a King Air and spent two full afternoons wiggling pins on a hunch. Out of frustration I tried something different, I reseated the tray connector and cleaned the ground stud with a Scotch-Brite pad, and the squawk cleared on the first power-up. Turns out I had been chasing the wrong end of the wire the whole time and burning hours. I logged it in our shop notes with the exact steps and now I check the ground path first on any flaky radio. Three days later the same trick fixed a nav issue on a second plane. What order do you guys work your intermittent squawks, or does the wiring diagram always win?
