Tried cleaning a cannon plug with contact spray and a brush, got a lesson instead
Spent a whole shift chasing an intermittent fault on a comm radio and finally pulled the plug on the rack in bay 3. Gave the pins a quick blast of contact cleaner and scrubbed with a nylon brush, then the fault went away for two days. Came back worse. Turns out I was pushing the grit deeper into the socket instead of lifting it out. What are you all using to actually flush a dirty connector without wrecking the pins?
