Showerthought: I figured those cheap coax crimpers were junk til a ramp guy in Dallas proved me wrong
Honestly I always rolled my eyes at the $18 crimpers guys pull out at the gate, but a lead out at DFW showed me his 3 year old pair still passing a pull test on RG-400 every time. Turns out the trick is squeezing once and letting them ratchet instead of cranking on them. Anyone got a brand that holds up past a year on the line?
Man, I feel that. I wasted years fighting those cheap crimpers too til somebody showed me the single squeeze trick. Funny how the tool was never the problem, it was me cranking on it like an idiot.
