Appreciation post: the old tech who made me slow down in Pensacola

Back in 2016 I was troubleshooting a wiring bundle on an MD-80, real impatient, ready to just swap the whole harness. This retired Navy guy, must have been 70, walked over and said, 'Son, you're chasing the symptom, not the break.' He had me trace each pin with a DMM, and sure enough, it was a single corroded connection behind a connector we'd all missed twice.
