Subaru guys were right about the unequal headers pop
I had a 2018 Impreza with stock headers and it sounded like a vacuum cleaner. Swapped in a used set of unequal length headers from a wrecked 2015 WRX last month for $220 and now it has that classic boxer rumble with the little burble on decel. The difference in sound is night and day, but I didn't expect the low end torque to feel punchier around 2,500 rpm in town. Has anyone else noticed a real performance gain from headers alone, or is it mostly just audio theater on these cars?
