A tech at the alignment rack in Reno told me my camber was eating tires, so I finally bought plates
Went in for a routine alignment on my 350Z and the tech pointed at the inner edge of both front tires, basically down to the cords at 8,000 miles. He said the drop springs I threw on two years ago pushed the camber way past spec and no toe tweak was gonna fix it. I'd been putting off camber plates because I figured it was a track guy thing. Ordered a set that night, installed them the following weekend, and got it realigned to -1.8 degrees up front. Anyone running plates on a daily and regret it, or is the tire wear fix worth the extra noise?
