Lost $850 to a broker in Miami who never actually booked a truck
I moved from Miami to Denver in March and hired a broker who quoted me $850 upfront instead of the usual pay on delivery. He gave me a pickup window of 3 days, then kept pushing it back every single time I called, always saying a truck was 'confirmed' for the next morning. After 12 days my car was still sitting in the driveway and he stopped answering, so I had to book a different company at the last minute for $1,300. Has anyone actually gotten money back from a broker like this, or is filing with the FMCSA just a waste of time?
