Thought brake fluid flushes were a scam until I saw the moisture test on a 2015 F-150
I always figured brake fluid flushes were just a way for shops to pad the ticket. Then a customer brought in a 2015 F-150 with 92,000 miles and a soft pedal, and I finally used the test strips my old boss kept in the drawer. The fluid read almost 4 percent water, which explains why the calipers were starting to pit. Now I test every car that comes in for brakes, and I have caught three more this month alone that would have turned into bigger jobs. How often are you all testing fluid versus just going by the book interval?
