Customer came in today insisting his brake squeal was a wheel bearing issue

After I pulled the wheel and showed him the glazed pads with 2mm of life left he still argued with me for 10 minutes about how his uncle's cousin was a mechanic once has anyone else had clients who just refuse to believe what's right in front of them?

Used to be one of those guys who would argue with anything, honestly. But then a buddy let me drive his car with shot brakes and I almost ended up in a ditch, changed my whole view on it real quick.

So you're saying the only way you learned was by almost wrecking a car? That's what it took to make you realize arguing over everything is stupid? @thomas_scott I get it, some people just need to smack their head against reality once before the lesson sticks. But why do so many folks have to learn the hard way instead of just listening the first time? It's like they think being stubborn is some kind of badge of honor until it bites them in the ass. Hopefully your buddy's brakes taught you something besides just how to avoid ditches.
