Snapped a plastic bumper tab on a 2019 Civic last Tuesday and learned the heat gun trick the hard way
Was pulling the front cover off a 2019 Civic at my shop in Modesto and one of the side tabs cracked clean off. Cheap plastic gets brittle after a few summers. I tried plastic welding it first and it looked like garbage. What finally worked was heating the area with a heat gun on low, just until it got a little soft, then pressing the tab back with a flat screwdriver behind it. Let it cool for 20 minutes and it held fine on the reinstall. Anyone got a better fix for tabs that already snapped off completely? I'm all ears.
