Appreciation post: comparing my M42 shots from a year apart and the nebula basically doubled
Shot Orion from my driveway in Boise twice, once around February with my old setup and again this winter after I learned to stack 40 subs at 30 seconds each instead of one long exposure. The difference in the dust lanes around the core is honestly kind of wild. Has anyone else gone back and reprocessed old frames after figuring out stacking, or is it just me?
