Vent: I downloaded a budgeting app but went back to a paper notebook after 3 weeks
I switched to an app in January to track every dollar, but tapping each purchase on my phone in the checkout line in Omaha got old fast. My paper notebook costs $2 at the drugstore and I actually stick with it, mainly because writing it down hurts more. Anyone else go back to pen and paper after trying digital?
What was the actual breaking point where the app started feeling like more work than the notebook? Tapping in a checkout line sounds annoying, but I'm curious if it was the tapping itself or something else like forgetting to log stuff later. Does the notebook slow you down in a good way or just make you avoid buying stuff?
