The week I found a first edition Hemingway for $3 at a garage sale

I was digging through a box of old cookbooks in some lady's driveway in Maplewood last June, and there it was. A beat up copy of 'The Sun Also Rises' with the original dust jacket, no less. I almost didn't buy it because the cover had a coffee ring, but I grabbed it anyway. Turns out it's worth about $2,500 according to the rare book dealer I showed it to. Has anyone else ever scored something crazy cheap at a random sale like that?

My buddy found a signed Vonnegut for fifty cents at an estate sale last year.
