Rant: my 3x5 index card catalog for my backyard birds got soaked in a rainstorm and I lost 2 years of notes
I keep a little box of index cards tracking every bird that hits my feeder in Scranton, and last Tuesday I left the box on the porch rail while I ran inside for coffee during a downpour. Came back to 60 cards glued together into one soggy brick, and my handwriting smeared so bad I can only read maybe 8 of them. Does anyone know a cheap way to dry out and save soaked paper, or should I just start a fresh box and log from scratch?
