My 12 year old labeled the test unit bag wrong during a dig at Mesa Verde and now the whole catalog is a mess
Honestly I was helping out on a survey near Mesa Verde back in June and let a volunteer's kid bag a handful of surface finds since he was excited about it. Found out later he swapped the tags on two bags, so now we have 300+ sherds labeled to the wrong unit and I have to go back through every single entry. Has anyone else had to redo a whole catalog because of one small mix up, and is there a faster way to fix it than checking each bag by hand?
