Just realized that $450 I dropped on a cheap endoscope for tomb surveying was the best money I ever spent
Bought a $450 fiber optic scope off a guy in Cairo back in 2019 so I could peek into sealed tomb shafts without disturbing the debris. Took it to a site near Luxor and it showed us a hidden side chamber that everyone had walked past for decades. The whole dig team lost their minds when I pulled it up on the little screen. Now every time I see someone poking a stick into a shaft I want to scream. Anyone else here swear by a cheap tool that ended up doing real work?
