Hot take: watching anime weekly as it airs beats binge watching by a mile, and I learned that the hard way with Frieren
Back in 2021 I binged all of Attack on Titan season 4 part 1 in two nights and honestly I forgot half the side characters by the next week. Last year I switched to watching Frieren one episode every Friday night with a couple friends on Discord, and we spent the whole week talking about theories and little details we caught. The boring wait between episodes is actually the good part, since it gives your brain time to sit with what happened (and trust me, that show needs the sit time). We even started a shared note doc where we drop screenshots and dumb guesses, and it made the whole season feel like an event instead of a chore. Does anyone else feel like weekly watching makes a show stick with you way longer, or am I just old now?
