Got tired of my watchlist growing forever so I started the 3 episode rule and it fixed everything
I had like 40 shows on my plan to watch list and I kept adding more without ever starting any. About 2 weeks ago I decided to just watch the first 3 episodes of whatever I picked and if it didn't grab me I dropped it right there. No more reading reviews for an hour first, no more asking Reddit if it gets good at episode 12. I've cleared 9 shows since I started doing this. Some I dropped after 20 minutes and felt zero guilt. The weird part is I'm actually enjoying anime again instead of treating it like a chore list. Anyone else use a set number of episodes before deciding to drop something, or do you just know in the first 5 minutes?
