Dropped $45 on a "premium" anime streaming service that had worse subs than the free sites I left behind

The translations were so bad I had to pause every episode to Google what the characters actually said, and then I found out they crowd sourced the subtitles from a forum that had zero mods - anyone else run into bootleg-level subs on a paid platform?

Man I feel your pain, I paid $50 for a "premium" anime app once and the subs were so bad it translated "senpai" as "brother" and turned a whole romantic confession into a weird family drama.

That crowd sourced forum probably had better subs before the "premium" site scraped them and broke all the timing.
