I was scrubbing a stack of 20 records with 91 percent isopropyl and a microfiber cloth, and he said flat out, "You're stripping the grooves, not cleaning them." Switched to a 50/50 distilled water and Dawn mix with a paint pad, and the surface noise on my copy of Rumours dropped off a cliff. Anyone else getting real mileage out of a homemade cleaning fluid, or am I about to ruin something else?
