Finally stopped fighting the 35mm scanner, switched to a flatbed
I spent 4 months wrestling with a cheap dedicated 35mm scanner, getting dust spots and weird color casts on every roll. Last week I dug out my old Epson V600 that I only used for medium format and tried a strip of Portra 400 through it. The scans came out way cleaner, and I could finally see the shadows without that muddy look. Anyone else find their flatbed beats their dedicated scanner for certain films, or am I doing something wrong with the other one?
