Two years back my brother and I were driving to a wedding in Syracuse and we got into a huge thing about Endgame. He swore up and down that Tony snapping his fingers killed the whole point, and that the movie should have cut to black on his funeral. I told him he was crazy, that you need the win to feel like a win. Last week I was home sick and rewatched the last 20 minutes on my phone, and honestly, he kind of had a case. The five years later jump already shows that everyone moved on, and Pepper's line about how they were gonna be okay lands harder if you never see Peter come back. It got me thinking about other endings where the movie should have stopped 10 minutes early. What are some where the last scene totally undoes the good part before it?
