I thought the borescope was a gimmick until I found cracks on cylinder 3
A guy at the field in Amarillo kept telling me to scope my cylinders instead of just pulling them every annual, and I figured it was a waste of $200. Last month I finally borrowed one and found two hairline cracks on the exhaust valve of cylinder 3 that a compression check completely missed. Now I'm wondering what else I've been overlooking, does anyone here scope on a set schedule or just when something feels off?
