DAE notice how much better AI image upscaling got over the past 8 months?

I pulled an old 640x480 photo from a 2004 family trip to San Diego and ran it through an upscaler I tried back in August and again this week, and the difference is night and day, the new version actually brought out details in the sand and my mom's shirt without that creepy plastic look, has anyone else noticed a big jump in the newer models or is it just me?
